2. Details of Business Transacted with Investors

  • ✓  Provide an independent unbiased view on securities
  • ✓  Offer unbiased recommendations, disclosing financial interests in recommended securities
  • ✓  Provide research recommendations based on analysis of publicly available information
  • ✓  Conduct annual compliance audit
  • ✓  Ensure all advertisements adhere to SEBI Advertisement Code for Research Analysts
  • ✓  Maintain records of interactions with all clients including prospective clients

Onboarding of Clients

  • ✓  Completing KYC of fee-paying clients

Disclosure to Clients

  • ✓  Disclose all information material to informed client decision-making
  • ✓  Disclose extent of use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) tools in research services
  • ✓  Disclose any material conflict of interest in third-party research reports
  • ✓  Distribute research reports to all clients without discrimination
  • ✓  Maintain confidentiality until research reports are in the public domain
  • ✓  Respect data privacy rights of clients
  • ✓  Provide clear guidance on complex and high-risk financial products
  • ✓  Treat all clients with honesty and integrity

4. Grievance Redressal Mechanism

Grievances will be addressed within 21 days of receipt. If unsatisfied, escalate to SEBI via SCORES or SMARTODR.

  • ✓  Pay attention to disclosures in research reports before investing
  • ✓  Pay your Research Analyst through banking channels only
  • ✓  Check research recommendations before buying or selling securities
  • ✓  Ask all relevant questions before acting on recommendations
  • ✓  Inform SEBI about any Research Analyst offering assured or guaranteed returns

Don’ts

  • ✗  Do not provide funds for investment to the Research Analyst
  • ✗  Do not fall prey to luring advertisements or market rumours
  • ✗  Do not get attracted to limited-period discounts or incentives
  • ✗  Do not share login credentials of your trading, demat or bank accounts
